Any alien civilization observing our planet would see that there is too much methane in the atmosphere in relation to oxygen. The only explanation is that something is producing methane to resupply to the atmosphere. Gasses produced in the intestines of cattle contain a large amount of methane.
Therefore, bovine manure is proof of life on Earth. Or as the cartoon suggests there is another main source that can be equated with bovine manure.
