Boy: Gee, mister. Did you really used to live in a commune? Zonker: I sure did, youngster. Boy: Gosh! What was it like? Zonker: What was it like? Well, that's a long story, son. Things were very different back then. to begin with ,it was an age of innocence. Flashback Zonker: Okay, say Paul is dead... Boopsie: Oh, wow, I see what you mean! Mike: Hey, ever looked at your hands? Like, really looked at your hands?

I wonder if Zonker, Boopsie and Mike did more harm to their brains by doing drugs, or if BD did more harm to his brain by playing football.

Kind of obvious, in retrospect. How many NFL players are being proved post-mortem to have had significant brain damage?

I had this book that I read repeatedly as a kid. “Did you ever look at your hands? I mean really LOOK at your hands?” became my go to line when pretending to be stoned.

I used to be fascinated with my hands even when I wasn’t stoned. Nowadays they are just depressing.

I wonder if they did more good than harm? ;-)

Guess we all damaged ourselves when we were young and thought we were invulnerable. Think of the loud music; that’s probably why I had to get hearing aids last year. That and the target range located in a concrete garage where I and a dozen others practiced shooting once a week.! Ear protection? What’s that? What did you say?

“Life” magazine even ran a story on “Is Paul Dead?” Ringo’s comment, when asked: “Its a bunch of crap!” Paul’s comment: “If I was dead, I’d be the last to hear about it.” Amazing that those guys came out halfway sane after being Beatles.

I tended bar for several years at a disco where the dance floor was just off to my right. As a result, my hearing in my right ear is about half gone. The good news: I can fall asleep lying on my left side even when it’s noisy.
