So Kate has a little doggie, Petey. Well, she may have to put up with a lot of mud or learning how to give him a bath. He won’t be welcome indoors otherwise. What is her sister’s reaction?
This is GREAT!!! I’ve never had the “pleasure” of having a mud-loving dog, for which I’m very grateful; even my late Yellow Lab was a fastidious dog, and I believe that’s unusual for the breed. When I lived in the country, I had more trouble with my little Terrier mix getting filthy, than I ever did with my Lab. I hope it doesn’t take Katie too long to clean up Petey!
Sigh, mud season. Try cleaning a 16 and a half hand giant Shetland pony during mud season, who loves mud like few others. You know it’s bad when people are asking you why your ‘white’ pony isn’t out in the pasture when they are looking straight at him. :-/ :-)

No mud season here, our 4 seasons are chilly and dry, warm and dry, bloody hot and dry and cool and dry. Its like prohibition with broken air con.

Here in Pennsylvania, it’s not just mud that we have to worry about and Wellingtons are needed more than ever.

I can’t remember any editions that just feature Kate when she has been outside.

I’ve got 3 Labs like that. Our next kitchen floor is going to have permanent paw prints so you can’t tell the difference.

Very timely this – I just came in from walking my small white dog (avatar) and had to put her straight in the bath. Not a lot of white left!

Our local hardware store has a big photo ad that shows the muddy prints all over the LR, and the dog holding a sign that says “The CAT did it!!!”
