Why stop at twice? Heck, I’ve not gone to see any of the Hunter Games movies several thousand times (and still counting).

Ah, for the (good) old days, when instead of endless “trailers” they had a newsreel and a serial, and many of the main films were short enough that they could have “double features”.

The gag reminds me of an oldie where a customer orders coffee without cream, and the waitress says, “We’re out of cream, but I can give it to you without milk.”

I took it to mean that was the movie they were watching and not actually a trailer, so they weren’t going to go see it again.
