For tonight… but I’d bet tomorrow’s strip will produce a double whammy! Flooom! Maybe we’ll get to see the homeless guy with the satchel full of money and the levitating corpse again…
The mighty morphing mansion again undergoes a change
Does the writer and artist ever find this strange?
Trey-D played it close to the vest
Never let your wife know is always what is best
Seek out the accountants, the pencil pushers galore
Bank records, tax statements, paperwork and more
Good sleuthing is what will break this case
But we know that will never be taking place
A hunch, a guess, events with a improbable turn
Just the type of things to make our stomach churn
The story plods on with ne’er a logical bent
Just another point about which we must lament.
Wait, seriously, what is the difference between this strip and the ones they ran a few weeks ago? Why does this strip spend so much time leading up to pointless and inexplicable conclusions? Is this a psych experiment.
Almost every time Mrs. D’ Blunderworth shows up, she has her hands clasped behind her back. I’ve never seen a woman of her evident age stand like that. That posture is common in men, however. Maybe she’s Mr. D’apostrophe in drag.
I’ve grown used to the terrible artwork on this strip but really, has Locher ever heard of this thing they call “perspective”? Judging by 3-D’s crooked little mansion my guess is that he hasn’t. Or do I need 3-D glasses to see it properly?
For Tracy to get from where he was in panel 1 to where he is in panel 3 in the space of one six-word sentence, he would’ve had to leap head first, do a mid-air tumble and land on his feet facing the opposite direction. The artist should really show us this stuff.
“Ye Gads”, Tracy thought to himself while fighting the urge to regurgitate his last meal.
“She really is one of the ugliest women I have ever seen in my life, and believe me I’ve been with quite a few”!
Penny wondered if Tracy suspected anything.
“A list of his latest business transactions, Detective Tracy”?
Penny figured it would be easy to distract him.
“Just use the old charm, girl”!
“Oh, I wasn’t privy to those”.
Penny knew that no one could resist her grace and sexiness.
“You are one hot mama”. she reminded herself.
“Time for the grand finale”, she chuckled under her breath as she put on her best “Woe is me” poise.
“He kept all business dealings to himself”.
Unfortunately for Penny Tracy was no longer paying any attention to her, instead suddenly becoming inquisitive as to why he always bent his head forward in such an unnatural position.
Get a warrant. Search his office. Get his bank statement. There are people trained to do financial audits. TV shows do all this and solve the case in one hour.

I wish I had a billion dollars and could have a mansion like the 3Ds have. What a beauty! Big windows on the inside and small ones outside.

If this plot went any slower, the dialog balloons would be empty.

I think I’m beginning to understand this strip. It’s pure surrealism, something like Zippy.
Notice how Mrs 3D can stretch her right arm all the way around her back up to her chin.

Thought you might actually have a clue, huh Macy?

I like the triangle shaped windows. This house looks like something a child would draw in pre school.

Mrs. D’Buckworth has been talking so long her jaw is exhausted so she has to work her mouth with her hand.

Now that she knows Tracy is only after the money, Mrs. D calls him “DETECTIVE TRACY”. Just days ago she was asking him to call her Penny.
