Pig: Hey neighbor Phil. How goes it? Phil: Good, been eating nothing but healthy grains and nuts. Plus, I've been going for long hikes and ten-mile runs. If you're interested in the lifestyle. I can answer any questions you have. Rat: I have a question. Phil: Yes, Rat? Rat: Why do health conscious people look the least healthy? Pig: He took his granola and went home. Rat: At least beer gives me a rose glow!!

Only the ones who eat healthy but do not exercise look undernourished. You can’t look good by diet alone.

I’m the picture of radiant good health, but I am 40 pounds overweight. You should try it, Bob.

If you compare girls at bars with the girls at 10K runs, I’ll pick the healthy ones 99% of the time.

I’m reminded of a line from a Washington Irving story where the narrator observes that the families of doctors often look lean and cadaverous.

It may in fact be because most people don’t start to worry about their health until they start feeling ill, and then there’s often some thing more badly wrong with them than a healthy lifestyle can fix. Also, there’s a saying that after 40 you have to choose whether to widen or wizen.

A well rounded diet(which would include some meat) seems to me to be the right approach.Besides cows are considered pure herbivores and look what happens to them. Now pigs will eat anything, and the same thing happens to them. (well, except they make better BBQ)

Hey, Rat, I’m with you! Meat and potatoes and beer make us die all rosy and happy, right up until the Big One (as Fred Sanford used to say)!

Vegan or raw vegan lifestyle isn’t for everyone. Not for me. But I have nothing against those who enjoy it. Have a friend who’s a raw vegan, but he also exercises a lot and is as healthy and strong as anyone I know. Whatever works for you.

I wonder whether they buried a box of Grape Nuts with Ewell Gibbons.

Rat’s mind is struggling with the idea of devouring so much oats, wheat and barley. It’s a grain drain brain strain.
(BTW, Beer does contain grain)

My grandmother was very careful what she ate and very active and passed away at 104.My mother, who ate everything and never exercised a day, was 100.At 66, all I have is low thyroid and they’re going to recheck that. It’s all in the genes.

I honestly don’t see the point in being a fitness and healthy eating buff.
We’re still going to die anyway.

You got to factor in the genetics. Some people look healthy regardless of what their do.

@Sherlock Watson… Larry Groce. “In the daytime I’m Mr. Natural, just as healthy as can be. At night I’m a junk food junky. Lord have pityy on me”
