I was just thinking about this statement yesterday. Does Nature really abhor a vacuum? Or is it our little bubble that abhors it? 99.99999999999999999% (out quite a bit more than that) of the Universe is vacuum. The universe, which is about as natural as it gets, LOVES a vacuum! So I see it more as a small blue green bubble in the western spiral arm of the Milky Way galaxy as abhorring it.

My Cats do too.

And when a fan works, it really blows. And a frog is the only creature that you can be sure is alive after it croaks. Gotta love a good play on words. But I think Pastis should have left out the last panel, just to see how long it would take people to catch on.

“Nothing sucks like an Electrolux” was a slogan for the Electrolux vacuum cleaners. The British vacuum company named Vax also used it. This later brought joy to DEC (Digital Equipment Company) and its users.
