It is a reference to Lost Time, Remembrance of Things Past, by Marcel Proust. I think it makes more sense to save it for the fall when we have to give it back. There are petitions online to stop the madness.

We already bank about six hours a year so that every four years we get an extra day of winter. No wonder there is no interest in banking time.

I know how to kill time. If I’m lucky, I can make time. I am certainly good at wasting time. When I’m in a jam, I can buy time. But I’ve never been good at saving time.
