Lemon juice and a blow dryer is what Nicholas Cage used in National Treasure.

The Blog: “It’s Cause and Cure.” Have you ever picked up a book by a so-called expert and found it to be filled with misspellings, bad grammar, and typos? Sort of shakes your confidence in the contents. Makes you think twice before applying tree-toad manure to your psoriasis pustules.

How come I always smile before I click on the Teresa’s comic, yet I shiver before clicking the blog?

Ya gotta love the story about the guy whose dog ate his big toe off. Leave it to Teresa to provide us with relevant content on the Blog.

    WTG, Teresa!

Also liked the post about Admiral Grace Hopper.

Thank you very much for including a tribute to Amazing Grace. She’s been one of my personal heroes for some years.

I’m wondering if the toe-eating dog had any ill effects? Toe-maine poisoning would seem to be a no-brainer, sure-fire garuntee.

related to fish falls: i once found, splashing in a puddle after a rain, about ten miles from the river, in an busy, ugly urban part of town,at 6 in the morning, a one armed crawdad i thought it was weird, and the biologist i took it to thought that it was entirely ordinary

Maybe a nearby creek backed up into a storm drain. Crawdads are pretty small, and they could easily float with the flow and land in a puddle.

Another Blog comment from Ray the Practically Incoherent: The “Orange Popsicle” is most likely a Creamsicle. A Popsicle (at the time depicted in the picture) was a pair of frozen flavored cylinders joined on a line, with a wooden stick in each cylinder. You could pull the cylinders apart and share it with your girlfriend (and have dirty thoughts while she did whatever it took to enjoy it). A Creamsicle looks like what the boy is holding. It’s vanilla ice cream with a flavored shell, usually orange; though there were (are?) other flavors. Fudgsicles were my personal favorites. We Frog Applauders are an easy-going group, but we do demand accuracy. I welcome corrections if my memory is faulty. That was a LONG time ago and maybe today’s Popsicles are different.

I’d say your memory is spot on! That was the deal when I was a lad.
