The Loser gains ground…

It doesn’t work when you’re an adult either.

I went through the same experience years ago. True, if we don’t go to them, they don’t come to us. But that doesn’t mean that they appreciate those who are always running after them. In fact, they look down on those who are “always there.”

Jane Austen said in “Mansfield Park” that the more you do for some people, the less they will do for themselves. I would add, and the less they appreciate it.

CB needs to learn to enjoy his own company. How about a hobby? Make yourself interesting and others will find you interesting also.

It’s funny seeing my life happen to someone else.

No. No it wasn’t.

Never underestimate the value of solitude.

I remember doing something similiar to this years ago when I was at a party in a college prof’s home. I’d thought, “It seems like I’m always the one who has to initiate a conversation…I’ll just hang out and see if anyone starts one with me.” After what seemed like a half-hour of silence while conversations abounded around me, I left. Lesson learned. I withdrew from the school after the quarter. Just as well, since the college in question made national headlines when intolerant (read “BLM”) students took over the campus and even held the school president hostage last spring. I’ve scrubbed them off my resume because it’s an embarrassment to have even attended there.

Welcome to the 1950s. Doing your own thing and/or going against the status quo is verboten.

It’s a long time until you hit you’re seventies Charlie brown….But you may hear yourself saying " leave me alone!How old do I have to be to get to do The things I Want do do…"Go Away!…..
