Man, those are some nice pillows….Anyway, I’ve been there, unable to find sleep..Sometimes I think I doze off a bit, but it doesn’t really feel like I’m sleeping….But I’m retired now so it’s a moot point. If I can’t get to sleep, I just start reading a book….It’s not like I need to go anywhere in the morning…

This could be my wife. She claims she’s up all night, but when I have to get up to go to the rest room, she’s saying lumber big time. And then I have trouble going back to sleep, all while she’s sound asleep!

Luann had a dream theme today too. Here is what I said there:Many years ago I dreamed that I was lying between the rails of a track and was being slowly crushed by a diesel locomotive. The driver blew the horn which went “meow”.

I think everyone has missed this one, so far. Arlo only remembers her snoring… Want to bet he nudged her to stop it, then fell asleep himself? “Ahh you poor thing, I don’t have the slightest idea what woke you.”

I have snored since I was little; my dad said I did an excellent imitation of a vacuum cleaner. Umpteen sleep studies, trying to use a CPAP, etc. Hubby convinced me to try those “nose strip”. Work like a charm. Could have saved myself so much time, agony, and money.

If she’s paying $200 happily for mowing a tiny lawn, have you considered he’s maybe not just cutting the lawn?

@Varnes. @Retired Dude. Retirement is the best thing that’s happened to me since I quit working!

I had some white noise apps on my tablet, kept me up until I finally turned it off in disgust. Listen to the sounds of waves crashing on the beach puts me out every time.

I retired 20 years ago and soon realized that if I had to go back to work I wouldn’t have time to do it. Get busy with whatever you enjoy, or find someone / someplace that needs help.

Both my daughters came to visit at the same time. They teamed up in the same bedroom. They were talking about the truck they could hear that was stuck in the mud. Suddenly one said, “Hey, Mom and Dad live in town, there isn’t any mud! That’s Daddy snoring.”

    Of course, I denied it.

Hard to be sympathetic when he heard her snoring nonstop for 8 hours.
