What ever happened to Cyndi Lauper?

Cyndi Lauper did have a connection to wrestling back in the ’80s via the late Captain Lou Albano who was in her video “Girls just wanna have fun” which was a fave on MTV. In the ring Capt Lou and Cyndi had a beef with Roddy Roddy Piper and the pair were allied with Hulk Hogan and Mr T as well as Wendy Richter who was fighting the Fabulous Moola. In other words the usual good vs evil arc of ’80s wrestling! Apparently her real life manager at the time was a huge wrestling fan and initiated the story arc for WWF back in ’84/85.

On a side note Breathed makes Lauper look like she could be the daughter of the drunken lady who Steve Dallas often gets blasted next to in the bar and bears an uncanny resemblance to Phyllis Diller.

She’s so unusual.

She got “She Bopped!”

I made up a video mix DVD of female singers, both solo and lead singer, for my six year old granddaughter’s birthday. Over time, she watched them all, but her favorite was Ms Lauper’s “Girls Just Want to Have Fun” video. Stiff competition, too, from the likes of Nicks, Benatar, Jett, etc. Even some Bangles tossed in. Didn’t overlook classical, either. Monarcha singing the “Habanera”. Amira can bring you to tears! Fun stuff, like Venus Hum and Katy (eye candy) Perry, and many more.

Girl has a mind of her own, and I like that in a grandkidlet.

Whatever happened to Lola Granola? Or is this before she was on the scene?
