I have a mini-display in my hobby room. There’s a slide rule, an original LED calculator, and a small abacus. The Three Laws of Robotics are posted also. Just enough to keep me humble.

Fun to see how many readers / commenters clearly demonstrate they have no clue what a slide rule is.

My high school Physics teacher insisted we learn to use a slide rule. This was back in the days when I would use the spiffy new handheld calculator to do some math, then do the math again myself to make sure the calculator got it right.

I just finished watching President Biden‘s press conference. He did well. Yes, he’s old, but only 3 years older than the dangerously unhinged narcissist he’s up against. Neither one of them should be running. If only we could have Barack Obama back again!
