So, yes, I can certainly see why Holly has a troubled mind.

Holly realized it was still LYN. How Horrible! I bet Holly blames herself for that too.

At 1st I didn’t even See Holly, and I counted 6 Buddiboms. His feet are more like hands, the big toe grasping in a way only a apes can do. Looks like an ape foot anyway.I hope nobody notices the large mouse yelling in the grass. She better go back inside.

I missed a few guesses, maybe got one or two correct. But I would bet Holly has been filmed by Apex Security cameras here, and Robbie is sort of aware Lyn mutated, but Robbie is almost definitely an agent for Apex. This is the second time Apex security cameras will link Holly to domestic terror operations. I expect Apex to issue a bulletin for the apprehension of Holly Hollister and an unidentified giant mousewoman, for questioning in a domestic terrorism case. Is it wrong to note Holly is single now? And dangerourous

Time for Flamethrowers and Blood Tests for everyone. Can’t be too safe when monsters are roaming around.

I noticed he was still mutating in the last strip. He had hands and now he has/had paws?

Lyn got blown up before his size could change. The monstrous mutants usually changed form first and then grew to a vast size. Poor Holly, that image of Lyn being blown to bits has seared itself into her memory as well as that of their mutated, dead child. Learning about this via the dittoes will impell Wally as well as Kirbee & Chick to help Holly heal from these awful memories.

There is a degree of narrative direction at work here too. The now-holed fence gives holly a chance at escape she wouldn’t have had earlier.

In spite of all this, Holly did find some happiness before, even if it probably required her to repress a lot of memories. I hope Wally and Kirbee are able to help her heal. I’d like to see her happy again.

I have a feeling we are seeing the end of Holly as these memories are coming back.

I understand this is important background info, but its really disturbing. I tuned into this comic cause it was clever and funny, its not been either for a long time. Its been sad and disturbing. Not sure how much more of this i can take.

silversummer, not all the mutant monsters came in super size. In one of the early strips a TS mutated to something very small. So small another TS stepped on him like a bug.

Lyn’s suffering maybe over… But, I fear Holly’s suffering has only just begun. To all of you out there who think that it can’t get any worse for Holly, wait and see…

Given her association with four mutations, authorities might decide Holly is a kind of Typhoid Mary. They might be right, if she was infected by the mutant in the woods. She and three people she’s had close contact with (Lyn, Ethel, and the baby) mutated around the same time, indicating an incubation period, and who knows how many other people she’s touched are mutating about now. Finding out she’s turning all her friends and family into animals and monsters is how this could get worse.

If the explosion WAS enough to kill Lyn, then the “Lyn” that has been staring at Wally is either a construct, or Robby, Lyn and Holly’s 4-legged servant.

Oh, for the people saying that Lyn is closing his eyes and waiting for the blast in panel 3 – I think not. That’s the head at the end of his tail. It’s whapping his face up against the fence, while one of the BuddiBombs © has one leg twisted into his mouth and another leg trying to grab hold to the inside of his ear. Lyn is just trying to keep his eyes from bring gouged out as he races up the fence.

The hole in the fence can provide Holly with an escape route. If found by the police, it’s pretty much all over.

Based on the Sparky story line, I would gather that some mutations survived to be rounded up and eventually herded into the stadium to be vaporized. Holly may have been one that escaped at tne end

She’s a plague mouse now. Humans coming into contact with her suffering an emotional upset will have mutation trigger.

I was wondering where today’s comic was?Did I miss something? What controls when a person mutates? It seems Holly changed right after being with her snake friend. Then Lyn changed after being with mouse Holly. Was it coincidence?
