According to Wikipedia, “Decaffeinated drinks contain typically 1–2% of the original caffeine content, and sometimes as much as 20%.”

“Decaf” does have some caffeine. (A little bit.)Have neither of them tried a caffeinated soda?

If they assumed it had caffeine, that meant the mind played tricks on them. One’s mind can do many things to your body without the main resource if you can fool it.

I would love to see what would happen if they drank an Espresso.

I’m just going to guess that considering this is a comic, the joke was just that even decaf was enough to make Phoebe and Marigold go a little cuckoo.
