Lacey: Jeremy, the man wasn 't sick once in 87 years. Jeremy: Hmm... that is a little fishy.

This is my favourite Doonesbury arc (the culmination of course having been the death, oh and the bargain with god). I guess the romanticism here just underlines the cruelty in all the rest of the stories.
