I feel so much better knowing that I’m not the only person that Rachel from card member services calls. What a pest.

I hung up on one and she called back to say I was RUDE! I decided to get caller ID, it is getting too spooky! WHO the heck is buying this stuff???? How stupid can you get? Wait, never mind. This is America!

Not to sound like a commercial, but since we switched to Ooma for our telephone service, we haven’t had a single SPAM call. :)

Of course, if the Internet goes out, so does your phone service. :(

Not to sound like a commercial either, but I’m so happy I spent $99.95 on a device called the CPR Call Blocker. Once you block their number, it NEVER rings again on your phone. Device holds over 1000 numbers. Every so often “Rachel” changes numbers, so just block ’em again! Works great on politicians robo-calls as well!

The way Rachel keeps popping up, I wonder if she comes from somebody who bought into the “let your computer make 4000 a week for you” scam and paid thousands for the program that makes random calls.

I haven’t been bothered by Rachel for a while. I wonder if someone finally caught those crooks?

I found that the most effective way to eliminate those annoying calls is to GET RID OF YOUR LAND LINE. At the time I eliminated mine, I was paying $40/month for staticy phone service with extra charges for long distance. Oh, and get on the do-not-call list, of course.I think the best way to deal with political calls is to add them to your contacts, and use a ring tone consisting of dead silence.

I’ve never heard from Rachel. I am on the ‘do not call’ list and I don’t answer unknown numbers – especially outside my own area code – even some inside my area code. If they really want me, they’ll leave a voicemail.Haven’t gotten any political calls either – yah!!

I get about one a day. Multiple numbers. But Rachael must have got fired. Carmen is calling now.

Rachel is also calling cellphones. Just received her call.

Rachel herself should be thrown into the garbage.

AT&T and other bells offer nomorobo.com. the phone rings twice and no mo robo. :-) it’s great. It hasn’t figured out Microsoft support or IRS law suit :-(

Rachel is probably an identity thief/scammer wanting to get things like the 3 digit security code, his mother’s maiden name, etc. “Now just to verify that I’ve reached the right party, would you please provide me with the following information . . .”

Oh and Microsoft support called my cell phone the other day and the guy insisted I was on my landline.

CPR Call Blocker does not block the first ring. Why? The CID is sent between the first and second rings, in most cases. I read that phones are available that ignore the first ring. However, our house is full of phones.

Use nomorobo.com. It is free, and it works.

Someone should ask the employees to take a 30 minute break at a nearby coffee shop, and then burn the home location for Card Member Services to the ground.

Phone are kind of interesting, it seems most people think of them as a way for them to call others but not to be called upon by others themselves…like it is a one way street.

The more things go that route, the less useful they become.

Rachel @ CardMemberServices is a liar. She called me and said that she was going to make me one final offer. But she keeps calling me back…….
