Definitely worst proposal ever. But Captain Nimble is back to save them, with Bandit close behind! I didn’t expect Nimble to be the rescuer, but then, I didn’t give it much thought because, like Elvis, I don’t have any interest in this stuff. I just checked to see that this site was still working properly.

I knew it Captain Nimble is the perfect cat to save them from no-no bottles.

Some of my Persians used to like sitting in the rain and getting wet. Might have had something to do with being towel dried when they decided to come back inside.

HORRAY for the kiss of Poseidon!! Yay for Captain Nimble coming to the rescue!!! (happy jig) What a finale! A real homecoming treat!

’TIS BUT THE KISS OF POSEIDON! That will be my new rallying cry when i have to set off in the rain to chase down dogs and lock the ducks and chickens up :D

Looks like evil Brad and Dr Mittens have emptied the no no spray bottles and are now out of threats!

Aww, tomorrow will be the last one. I loved this soap story line. When we got glimpses of this show in the regular strip I always wanted to see a bit more, now I got my wish. Thanks for the idea, Georgia and merry Christmas!

An early Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays and Happy Hanukah to all my friends. I will be taking mom (age 96) to my brother’s house in Powder Springs, GA, for Christmas.

Yay Bandit ! I am eagerly anticipating finding out how the kitty cops are armed. Georgia, this series is the most wonderful Christmas gift- a bit of everything we love about you…witty, warm, a little gently snide at times, you really do have a great gift, for artistry and story telling, but maybe equally as important, bringing little communities together. Thank you, thank you, thank you keeping this going for all of us.

Thank you, Georgia, for this Christmas treat and for every last one of your strips. You understand cats, and reading “Breaking Cat News” has helped me understand my cats better. Merry Christmas to the Man, the Toddler, the Baby, all the other characters, and the boys. And you, of course!

Yea! Even Elvis is like totally involved now. I just love the twists and turns this story has taken. I am so happy to have Captain Nimble return. I’m so sorry tomorrow is the final episode.

Yay! Captain Nimble to the rescue! AND HE HAS A CRAB ON HIS SHOULDER! Of course he does! Why wouldn’t he?!

And the three unnamed kittens are home too, reunited with their mom and sister! The nose sniffs and the ear licks and the rough-and-tumbles may commence! I don’t know why the kittens have become so important to me, but they have!

Okay, I’ve calmed down a bit. Sorry about that.

I was still a little troubled, because I know tomorrow is the last entry. Of all the things Georgia had to cram into it to wrap up the story, I was worried we’d never know the kittens’ names.

Then I realized that Georgia may have given us a cheat sheet over on the BCN website. Sure enough, under “Tags,” it reveals their names as Rascal, Rogue, and Rowdy Taggart.

It’s so funny, because I was thinking that after all the foofy names the Taggarts have, it would be so funny if the three kittens had scrappy names to go with the scrappy lives they’re sure to have led with their dad. And they do!

Also, cats’ last names appear to be passed along matrilineal lines, which I heartily approve of.

And the crab is Lord Crabbington. This is the strip that keeps on giving. (I wonder if his lordship is as profane as Crabby from Mutts.)

There is so much left to wrap up. I wonder if we will get another double strip tomorrow.

Yes double wedding…but where does captain Nimble come in…the purrrect Christmas mystery!

Georgia, you should put all these “Our IX Lives” Christmas strips into a book and offer it for sale on Zazzle or Society 6. I have bought a lot of your stuff as presents this Christmas. My daughter will get Lupin’s Christmas ornament, and the rest is ALL mine!
