Under the proper management, the dittos could be used to replay happy memories and feed off the joy. Remember, everybody knows laughter contains 10 times as much energy as screams…. (I’m on fire today!) ;-)

Somehow I get the feeling that Zero-based weapons are using Reality as a weapon to render your target nil. And if you soak up enough reality-destroying radiation, you turn to dust which is basically nil. And that would explain why a weapon that uses reality might malfunction and cause a magic tree that bears a fruit that supports a giant wave of dust from crushing a city and said fruit will grant you a magical reality-altering wish.

    Makes sense to me.

Poaching contraband toasters from a reality with survivors. I bet the high price is a black market price because it comes from an endangered survivors reality.

Why would the captain choose to abandon the ship instead of simply choose not to salvage from there anymore?

Must’ve been cheaper to abandon ship rather than continue with survivors about…probably there aren’t enough toasters in this reality to cover the captain’s cost.

I think Salen has it half right. The disintegration effect could well be a matter of matter leaving ‘our’ space. And, as previously implied, the effect works its way up the periodic table with intensity/exposure time, starting with the dehydration effect, the loss of hydrogen. Then further breakdowns of molecules as other atoms are selectively extracted. That ‘Sparkplug’ could make himself immune could be a matter of him becoming more stable or firmly attached to this reality.

So, in the Endtown universe, Marx isn’t the only being who can hop between realities. At least one other group of beings can. That helps makr him more…normal, somehow.

I’ll bet those scavenged toasters were all the “toast on one side and not the other” kind, so only worth half the value. I could definitely supply some of those.

Eddy’s captain abandoned it because there are survivors. Unity had dittos. I suspect that Unity attacked the Fitzgerald and its captain ran away, leaving his ship to the natives. That could be how Unity had resources that should have run out.Fear-mongering dittos could also be responsible for Jim’s schism and supposedly supernatural abilities, if they were using him and illusions to panic the populace.Wally’s doppelganger seemed to be beyond his skills to produce even subconsciously, so it could have been created by Eddy to get the gang out of that situation and onto the ship.

Going back through the archives, I just saw something I had never seen before. February 16,2010, the plane clips the Doc’s car that Holly is driving! Six years before it shows up in Holly’s back-story, and long before Holly is even introduced. Damn, Aaron! This is why this is one of the most amazing webcomics in existence.

The Lucranians may have visited this reality a few times before discovering survivors. Did they stop after that? Are Lucranians immune to the plague that makes mutants?
