Two contrasting takes on Andy from different eras: A door-to-door pollster is asking Flo if she has any children. Andy leaves just then, dribbling a ball and dressed less than formally. Flo replies: “Just the one.” The other take: Andy runs home to lie panting on the couch, then rushes back out. Flo tells the reader: “He’s getting past it. Nowdays when he paints the town red he has to rest between coats!”
It is nice not to have to navigate through all the pictures and details on how your cars worked, and children’s birthdays are going where you just went or other nonsense about your personal lives that means nothing to most of us and of which we could care less should be on Facebook or other social group, not commenting on a cartoon board.
