Clayton: Whatcha watching? Adam: Nothing. And it's wonderful. I've just been flipping around for twenty minutes. Channel-flipping is a time-honored tradition among Newman males. Clayton: It is kind of nice. Adam: See? The lack of commitment soothes our lizard brains. *click click*

Obama as a monster…..a therapist would have a field day analyzing you, Ted. Bonus points for sneaking your drone obsession in.

Whenever I change channels to avoid stupid commercials guess what. The channels I change to all have commercials. Coincident or CONSPIRACY!

How about not watching the TV?

Frankly Ted, if everyone were able to see people as all their faults, we would be freaked out 24/7 by our spouses and families alone. Sheesh, just wait till you saw your friends.

Careful, Ted- they’ll accuse you of racism for showing Obama as a 3 eyed monster with sharp teeth.

read ‘war is a racket’, by general smedley butler, usmc. he was the most decorated american soldier of his lifetime. the book describes the wartime profiteering of various corporations. the practice continues in our lifetime, but not just in the united states. the military industrial complex wins every time.

I fall on the anti channel surfing side too. Very few inventions have had as much impact on me as the invention of the DVR. That has changed the way I watch TV. I record what I want to watch, have it look for similar shows I might like, FF through the commercials, the only non recorded programs I watch these days are the few and far between sporting events.

Unless I am watching a DVD or a show I have been waiting for. I tend to find a old movie and half watch it while I am doing something else. TV tends to be background for me

It is really scary that forty percent of the people eligible to vote don’t know the names of the vice presidential candidates. I guess most vote based on “gut feel” and in favor of their personal biases. Too much trouble to do a little research on the Internet and trying to figure out what is really going on.

Too many channels to surf for long. Look up a name and see if it is on works better

My TV will outlive me. We are cable cutters. I have Fire TV and a very good antenna, so when we DO want to watch something I have access to the local channels and to all the Fire TV channels. It is rarely on, though. We bought a month of Sling during the olympics. Football, the debates, some of the holiday specials, etc. Most of my favorite programs I watch on my laptop on hulu because my husband is not interested.

I used to do this, and then one day it dawned on me that there wasn’t anything i wanted to watch on any of the channels. I haven’t watched TV now for 30 years.

It would be nice if the candidates were held to answering the actual question, and then their answers analyzed for the truth. I certainly live in a fantasy world.

I only have a couple of programs I watch and one of the “local” (out of L.A. morning news shows. Otherwise, the sets, yes I said sets. are off.

I have accused Hubby of not being interested in what’s on, but what else is on. Drives me NUTS! I only watch one show, and I can catch that on the computer the next day.

During extraordinary rendition Syria was one of those black site places the US, an ally then, for clandestine torture. Now when they have a civil war the US turns around and supports the traitors rebelling. (Maybe it has to do with Syria being on the list of 8 countries to topple in the ME to put in a friendly stooges for the USA. So far phase 2 has failed in every country it is done in.)
