I wish there were a way to turn off the comments until I clicked on them. So far I have read a few unkind posts and complaints about the topic of the joke.
I’ll agree that comics should stay away from politics when politicians stop being worthy of being made fun of. (And yes, stock market futures soared during the debate: Wall Street does not want a Trump presidency.)
It is the obligation of any type of comedian to rub our collective noses in the absurdity of our lives. Politics are annoying – but we must always be made aware of just how bad things can get if we accept being blind.
