Yeah, there’s nothing quite like the aroma of 8 months worth of dust being incinerated. Mmm-mmm-ACK!

For a moment there I thought they were morphing into Ren and Stimpey.

Oh! It’s not the fridge this time? OK then…

Very appropriate. Today I turned the stove/heater on for the first time in months.

I’ve burned a half ton of wood pellets so far this season. Another ton and half along with seven cord of wood and it’ll be Spring.

Nah, they both just farted

This happens when one doesn’t clean out the furnace in nearly a year.

Sounds like what I remember this time of year in Albany/

Aye sure and we are all familiar with THAT smell when the furnace kicks on for the first time in a while.

“Hello! there, I am calling from air duct cleaning services. Is there a a a a Mr Garfield there.”

Ah, toasted dust bunnies.

Ah yes, cool fall air. Here in San Diego, I’m going to have to change out of shorts any day now, at least in the mornings.

Down here in central Texas, we won’t have to worry about the heater until sometime in January, and then for only a couple weeks or so.

I was thinking Odie dropped his bones down the vent instead of burying them this summer.

My gas fired furnace doesn’t have a pilot light….the first time I ever used it was a fairly mild day….raised the windows and turned on the attic fan….but it wasn’t necessary…never has put out that furnace smell….

Thought it might have been Jon’s socks.

Here in Vegas it is still shorts weather during the day, but it gets down to about 60 at night. The heater has gone on a grand total of 3 times so far this year, and always at about 6 AM. Not too bad, and we slept through the smell.

I gotta remember that one next time I rip one.

Since we have heat pumps, we don’t have that problem, unless it REALLY gets cold and the auxiliary heat kicks in.

I remember that smell when the old wood furnace was lit up.

What do you expect. You don’t clean the vents every month.
