Actually it’s now known that parrots are closely related to falcons. There’s a New Zealand parrot called the kea which sometimes preys on sheep, and macaws and other large species of parrot can bite your thumb off.

As the owner of a large cockatoo, an angry parrot is something to be afraid of. You can lose a big chunk of skin from a bite.

Owl-decoys might not work very well, Moonie, but Pisner’s Giant Parrot Rex (note the teeth!) looks plenty scary to me, though I don’t consider myself a common pest….
