Kat: Trick or treat! Heart: Trick or treat! Dean: Greeting from the elves of Mirkwood! Kat: I got a candy bar! Heart: I got a pack of gum! Dean: I got a strange look.
Of course there were elves in Mirkwood in the Third Age. Legolas is the SON of the Elven King of Mirkwood. He doesn’t actually appear in THE HOBBIT, but he was probably somewhere in the background in a non-speaking role. (Just like Ensign Chekov in SPACE SEED, who wasn’t part of the bridge crew yet.)
Yes, I’d agree with DonVanni. Remember the Elves which captured the Dwarves in the Hobbit? They lived near the north-east boundary of Mirkwood. And to Eldo Disc Golf- NOT RAVENDELL, RIVENDELL. Aiya, edain uma pen isto…

In New Zealand, they’d hire him for the upcoming Tolkein Hobbit film

Hail, and well met! Do you perhaps remember Bilbo? Sorry I don’t have lembas; will candy do?

Okay, Dean, you can have ALL my candy, because you are just AWESOME. (^_^)

Wait, what? Elves in Mirkwood? Giant spiders maybe, but no elves (in the third age, anyway).
