Where’d everyone go?

With John’s remark like that, I think he’s going home by bus after the car is all repaired.

John, you may find yourself tied to some train tracks if you make many more comments like that.

Isn’t her car blue?? Or is mustard yellow the new blue?

It is a good thing he’s a dentist and not a diplomat.

I can really relate to that, and I don’t take offense. If it wasn’t my fault, I should be proud of the fact and take it as a compliment.

Perhaps he was forgiving her for driving it into a ditch in the 1st place! :o) She’ll take it all wrong, of course!

John, like most husbands, has mastered the art of opening his mouth and inserting his foot !

Story spoiler: There was a strip where there was a car crash, and Elly remarks she has never had an accident in twenty years. Ergo, not sure John’s joke make sense.

I see in my crystal ball… A woman, yes, a woman. With a large shovel. And… she’s swinging it at a man. Repeatedly. And… his body won’t be found until spring thaw.

Lucky the city is repairing the car. Everywhere I have lived, they say the owner is responsible for not having it off the road. And that is 4 cities in 3 different states.

I think that, like a lot of people, John puts his mouth into gear before making sure his brain is engaged. I don’t think a remark like this is intentional, just thoughtless. And I think that is the point that Lynn is trying to make.

so how will the whole family fit in his car till this one is fixed?

all depends on how many accidents she has had. her insurance rates would have gone up with every accident. Remember, this was back in the I think 1980s

At least he didn’t blame her, because she wouldn’t let him take her car.

I think John is just relieved that the car is going to get fixed at no cost to him,or Elly.He has an unfortunate way of putting things sometimes.

Another reason for the up-surge in women buying hand guns…..

My dad fixed rollovers, front and rear end collisions and tons of rust work. These were cars with frames. At one time he worked on some of the cars used in the Joey Chitwood auto show. They would start to sag after enough hard landings and the frames needed to be straightened. He said they put 70 pounds of air in the tires to do the stunts on two wheels.
