Pearl is no daisy either.

Earl is more fun than a bag of rusty hammers.

So she can treat Earl somewhat shabbily but others can’t? Now that’s true love.

A mushroom walks into a bar. Bartender says, "Sorry, buddy. We don’t serve mushrooms here. Mushroom says, “What’s the problem? I’m a fungi.”

Pearl is taking her cues from Opal. Opal treats her husband like a sub-human piece of dirt, so why shouldn’t Pearl?
