Phoebe and Her Unicorn by Dana Simpson for January 27, 2017
Transcript:
Phoebe: I don't think I really WANT to get holes punched in my ears just yet. Marigold: That is fine. Marigold: When I was a young unicorn, horn-piercing was very popular. I considered it myself. It is actually quite practical. You can use a horn piercing to store a pencil! It is always useful to have a pencil. Phoebe: You can just put a pencil behind your ear can't you? Marigold: It was a short-lived fad.

Aren’t unicorn horns bony? Piercing them sounds like it would be painful.

Yeah, cuz nothing says “fad” like hurting yourself with something sharp.

Never understood why people feel this need to poke holes into themselves or ink prick words or pictures, onto the upper layers of their skin…to each their own, I suppose.

My grandmother believed that there was a law making ear piercing for women mandatory. She was shocked when we told her that there was no such thing.

So basically like most others things involving unicorns. Seems that’s the trend with unicorns and their day-to-day habits…ill-advised, short-lived, and/or vain.

I need a piercing in my face like I need a hole in the head.

I never understood tongue piercing. I’ve wondered if young people knew that tongue piercing was done to runaway slaves that were captured, and if they’d still want to have it done if they knew this.

I work with machine tools, so rings, necklaces and bracelets are all contra-indicated. I do wear earrings, because it’s a little bling that doesn’t get in the way.

Since unicorn horns are made of ivory(I think), you basically need a drill, if you want to pierce it.
