We have this square thing under the kitchen counter. You put dirty dishes in it, add some soap, close the door, press a button, wait a while and magically when you open the door the dishes are clean! Apparently in my house I’m the only one who knows about this.
Ummm….soaking does help sometimes, Daddy. It makes things easier to clean off. True, you don’t have to soak EVERYTHING. But some things, especially where things have gotten caked on, it’s good to soak.
Long ago and far away (here we go again) my best friend and I rented a place. Our first after our parent’s domains. We were 19-20yrs old. We put our dishes in the sink to “soak” so we could go about the business of acting our age. 2 weeks of soaking in a sink during the summer in an un-air conditioned trailer did not do much towards gettting them clean. In fact, amazingly, there was green stuff (among other colors) growing on the dishes and in the water. We decided it was best to throw them out and start anew. Though we never did the soak cycle again.

Maybe not a chupacabra, but how about a cerberus?

Would you believe chupacabra is licking the dishes clean.

Bigfoot or Yeti?
Tigressy almost 8 years ago
Both – large feet and a good resistance to freezing cold weather (if necessary).
I prefer hibernating, though…

Soaking with cold water for about 10 minutes is a very good idea for surfaces.
Saves a lot of scrubbing.

@Tony:
I’d prefer being something that has actually been proven to exist. And right now, I’d prefer to ask today’s…
Second “Daddy’s Home” Question:
Scrub or soak?
Post-Super Bowl Question:

Soaking? No such thing as soaking only elbow grease

Soaking or stalling? Soaking will help some things, but I suspect he’s just stalling.
