    Actually, I would say that competition drives more invention (and manufacturing) than cooperation. See World War II and the Cold War and look at the rapid progress of technology during that time.

    That’s why our government is in such a mess now. A generation ago, our lawmakers knew the value of cooperation, and things happened! But then the right-wing extremists (funded by the wealthy) decided that they wanted ALL the power and started trying to ram their agenda down the throats of the American people.

    “Mutual Aid” published in 1905 by Petr Kropotkin was a Russian biologist and Anarchist, his book about mutual aid being shown not only with members of the same species but with other species as well, is about Evolution as much as social revolution.

    There is a big difference between friendly competition (yes, there is such a thing) and cut-throat, trip him and stab him in the back which some people “play”.
