We lived in a dark gray house with white trim. One year my parents decided to get vinyl siding. My mind spun with the possibilities of colors and combinations. Finally, the day came, and I discovered that my parents went with…dark gray with white trim…but it was a BLUER gray.
Maybe Jon could dip Garfield in the paint, and use him like a stamp. You know, have the house one color, and decorate it with life-sized prints of Garfield’s body, with his legs and tail outstretched. Throw in some paw prints, and you’ll have the neighbors screaming in no time.
I once asked my mother what she meant by “we” when she talked about getting the house painted when it was dad who did all the painting. Her reply was “I choose the colours and where they go and your father just puts the colours where he’s told to put them so it is a joint effort.”

Don’t ever say “we” in front of Garfield if it involves work, especially on a Monday.

Jon would wonder if there’s any such thing as ‘plaid’ paint.

Unless he’s enlisting Liz to help, I don’t think the term “we” applies here, either.
