You got something there, it would be interesting.

Navy vote Army, it’s the Marines you wonder about.

The military acronym for the president used to be taken from Commander IN Chief US, but it was changed to Commander IN Chief when someone pointed out that CINCUS was pronounced “sink us”.

@Ujjwal Dey: Good thought. We’ve been dealing with feathers and empty helmets for so long, it will be intriguing to see what Trudeau comes up with.

Nipponkid, it’s gone over your head. Sen McCain wasn’t the best of pilots during his Navy days and was considered a “hotdog” (show off).

    runar -

I think you have a typo. I would have thought CICNUS would be pronounced “sick-ness”. Did you mean CINCUS?

The brevity, the suggested language, and that we don’t know you very well, yet, made it hard to see the joke. The inter-service rivalries are legendary, and have been since the Revolution - the ‘disagreement’ over which service was the first to be officially established still goes on, with both the Army and the Marines citing indisputable evidence. And the ‘names’ each has for the other(s), most highly bleeeeepable - but when the little brown wads hit the whirlin’ blades, most of that goes away, at least on the ground - it’s the generals who keep up the infantile attitude, cuz they aren’t the ones getting popped.

A lot of Marines don’t vote - they know it makes no difference who’s CIC - they’ll get sent somewhere.

Still no UncaAlby? Perhaps Tuesday was too much for him. Rest In Peace, UncaAlby.

    Susan001 says:

“UncaAlby is probably preparing a blockbuster of a post, full of lies and vitriol, guaranteed to infuriate everyone who sees it. “After all, that’s his raison d’etre.”

UncaAlby is also a regular on the Pibgorn comment thread, and, while he’s not particularly inclned to mute his opinions, he’s hardly the sort you describe him as.   That is - it sounds as if he found the environment here negative and contumacious.   Pot, meet kettle?

edcoyote - yes, it was a typo and I’ve corrected it. I’m prone to typos because of nerve damage from an old injury.

Many people assume that all black people vote for Obama.
