E. Kently Clark, the President, says, “Make that racket cease”

Hathaway, without delay, says, “Tub Thumping ends our peace!”

“This here is a robbery,” says Blackjack with true glee

Tracy’s biggest fan is back, debonair demonstrably.

In suit and hat and knotted tie, with eyes that bulge and stare

He’ll thump a tub, yet here’s the rub, there’s Brylcream in his hair.

In his hands a loaded weapon. In his eyes see manic pride

Never saw this mad man coming, now sit back, enjoy the ride.

Called it.

E. Kently Clark is an obvious reference to Superman’s alter ego, Clark Kent.

His executive assistant, Ms. Hathaway, is likely a reference to Jane Hathaway on The Beverly Hillbillies.

Looks like B.O. picked a bad time to visit the bank, but chose his company wisely.

I’m wondering — what’s in that beaker behind Mr. Clark in non-throwaway Panel 1?

Kentley reminds me of a young Phil Spector with a beard.

I really, really, hope that blackjack isn’t killed in the upcoming storyline.

Nice twist using a B.O. Plenty story to bring back BLACKJACK to the mix.

Somehow, someway, I expected Blackjack or Matty Squared

That machine gun says he is dangerous and a felon.

It’ll be interesting to see who ends up being the bigger crook — the bank robber or the bank president.

Hurray for Blackjack!

-Yeah, we’re not supposed to root for the villains, but Blackjack is just too much fun to despise in the way one does Mr. Bribery or even Abner Kadaver! Blackjack may not be Robin Hood, but even if a run-of-the-mill bank robber, he’s still “Tracy’s biggest fan,” after all. (I mentioned his Tommy gun-a weapon I’ve handled, though not fired—in a Reply to Pequod [his poem] above.) Much Tub Thumping!

E. Kently Clark, a kind of anti-canting name for the juvenile-looking megabucks bank president, it appears to me, probably deserves the worst that may befall him, but I hope B.O. and Tracy come through this unscathed….

Mr. Clark reminds me a bit of Gendou Ikari, from the anime “Neon Genesis Evangelion” …

Betcha Blackjack specifically chose this bank in retaliation for their attack on Tracy’s family.

Ok fellahs, any musicians out there? Do the notes actually mean anything?

I hate the word “eventually.” It can mean anything from 5 minutes to 50 years or longer. I want something more definite.

Hello, greetings, casual readers of past Tracy stories. I’m here because I’m on 2 missions. The first is something I’ve never done before, read each Tracy story by Mike Curtis (or his occasional guest writer) in one sitting each. I feel his stories are worth it. IMHO, Curtis is by far the best post-Gould writer this strip has ever had, and we’re all lucky to have him.

My second mission is to provide an immediately useful Featured Comment whenever needed. My 3 friends below will reply to me. You can read their replies if you like, but their only real purpose is to bump up this comment to the Featured Comment.
