Bug-eyed Kate and Danae are a hoot. The Sacred Vessel sounds like something left lying around by Indiana Jones….

NAY-CHAW kept me puzzled for a while, had to mumble it to figure it out. Maine accent is sooo different from the Oxford English they teach over here in Germany

    Let the speculation commence anew!

Hmmm; a Walnut Shell? Or an Acorn? Has to be ubiquitous, found everywhere. Or is it manufactured? The Campbell’s Tomato Soup can (re-sealed)? At least the Copenhagen can has a lid that could be closed. Will it need air-holes?

^Well, he did say Nay-Chaw, so that would indicate something not artificial (sorry Copenhagen). And he did say it was ubiquitous, so it should be something found all over the world. Hmmmmm.

not only found in “Nay Chaw”, but it also has to last……. and contain….. so acorns wouldn’t work, maybe a geode?

Sacred VESSEL, like maybe a BOAT… although it seems to be a sacred vessel of nature… Hmmmm… Still, could be the good Captains VESSEL… I can’t second guess Wiley but I do like how he makes my brain do flips. Can’t wait to see what the S.V.O.N. REALLY is.

In this age of rapid flow of information and images, there are those who are impatient with the pace of an old fashioned newspaper cartoon. Can’t please everyone, I guess. I think this story line has been provocative and fun. Thanks, Wiley!

I believe it was said that “thousands were made every year” to hide the occupied one in the overwhelming number of unoccupied ones. That implies manufacturing to me, so the tank/float/lid of a bathroom fixture could work…but I don’t think so.

I notice that Captain Eddie is making a circular motion with his pencil. I wonder if that’s significant. Maybe it’s another planet. That might explain the “Whoa! Wait a minute”, as in how do we do that. Maybe this is where Lars steps in to help.

I wonder if the vessel of Nay-chaw has ever been portrayed in those “Before Eve” strips. An empty pizza box, maybe?
