This was apparently in reference to my statement that I had dated women who were bisexual.

Why does it disturb you? Do you feel that if I dated any woman who has ever been intimate with another woman and enjoyed it, and is not “repentent” or regretful, then I will somehow contaminate my “purer” morality as a decidedly straight male with their “immorality”?

If that’s how you feel, please confirm it, so that all affected women on this blog will know just how you view them.

Personally, I think that women with some of that kind of experience make just as good partners or wives for men, and just as good parents and citizens, as anyone else.

For the record, I also think that some tendency to bisexuality is much more part of the “mainstream” female nature than it is to males who are not gay. Of course, not all females have explored that side of their potential. That is their choice, and it should be.

We have now backed up Luann time to at least a full week before seeing the Oz play.

Luann will soon meet Fay at the Fuse, and the play is a week later, so nothing is going to happen that makes people explode for at least a week.

We could be back to just a day or two after leaving Gunther and Tiffany on the couch.

Okay FIRST, DOGGY (And a certain Enlightened Poster over st Acramax) were RIGHT. This is Indeed, the FIRST, “Lingerie Party. So a Large Hambone goes to Him(Them)!

Now, as to Les letting Them in. Tara? You’ve already indicated You’re not wearing any Underwear. Now All You gotta do Is:

A) Flash those eyes at the Worthless Punk.

B) Marvel at His “Cherry Trick.”

C) Give Him Your number. (after which You throw Said number in the trash can.)

D) Pay Him 20 Bucks.

E) ALL of the Above.

Les now knows that Tara is not into underwear.

But he’ll soon find out that she’s not into him either.

Then he’ll be a two-time loser, since he already struck out with Pru.

Les does deserve a nice girlfriend. He had a pretty one in his grasp. But then, asexual, wimpy, hyper-moral Gunther managed to intervene and sabotage it all.

Tiffany then had a vacuum in her life where Les should have been, so she expanded to fill up the space.

This is definitely not the first party since that one already ended and showed Les at work the next day. I’ve never seen this comic go backward in time to tell the same story. I can’t believe there are that many women in this small town who need to buy lingerie every week.

Does Luann know that Ann Eiffel is involved in this?

Maybe we’ll now see what is REALLY going on in there!

I still that that something fishy is going on with these “private” parties.

And so it begins. Les and Tara, Luann will figure out that Ann is Les’ mother and see what’s going on with her parties.

Well, one comment I might make is that those who complain that Luann does not have enough Luann in it should be satisfied now. I also hope, being a long-time Luannfan, that it is clear she is no longer a little girl mooning over Aaron Hill, or a high schooler mooning over whatever, but a young adult, with new friends who challenge notions keeping her forever a little kid.

Wow, Tara!  You’re quite free and unrestrained in your style… and with certain facts…. That’s great fodder for scam artists and timeshare, uh… “reps”!….

Somehow I expected one of the adults to have uncovered the financial terms of these “parties” by now.

I somehow feel that Luann is in over her head and has been since H.S. graduation. The strip is losing joy the way an old tire loses air.

VilyEhm: “Luann time is getting messy.” From what I can tell, you got that right! People arguing as to whether this is the first lingerie party or another in a series…

My apologies to all; after all, I did promise to go away for a couple weeks, till hopefully, this arc was over! I still look in to see what’s going on, especially to see if we have finally moved on.

I will say that today’s events are interesting (finally) – right now is a chance for both Tara and Les to show their true colors! (No secret, I’m not a big fan of either) (And yes, I still repent, repent, repent of having ever wanted to know more about the barracks thief from months ago)

A good new character this Tara. She kinda lights the fire wherever she goes. Luann definitely needs Tara to ramp up her sense of adventure – it’s time for Lu to grow up a bit more.

Tara has strong instincts… for finding trouble and immersing herself. Not surprised if Tara knows Ann already. Ann could be one of those “wrong people” in Tara’s past.

Serendipitous that Luann meets Tara who provides the impulse to go to the lingerie party. If something is awry, the information will certainly get back to her parents and Pru. I am assuming they get by Les. Perhaps a small donation to his children’s fund.

Since I want Tara to be a regular character, I hope this will be a relationship of mutual benefit. Tara is a new post high school friend, yay…

A good line not unlikely: Tara meets Pru at The Fuse. Luann confides to Tara, “She’s a Lesbian.” Tara replies to Luann, “So am I.” Luann looks shocked. Then Tara says, “Just kidding….”

Pretty perky, considering.

So, at first glance it seems that Schrodinger’s Dog is correct that this is the FIRST Lingerie Party being revisited. So, my hat is off to him in this regard.

However, it seems so contradictory to how Greg typically portrays things. I do not recall previously anytime that he had strips move backwards in time. Sure, time will ebb and flow at different rates, but at least to my recollection it always progressed in a forward direction.

I guess, technically this could also be already a “second” Lingerie Party… so the effort could be still flowing forward. But, there is no real indication of that in this case either.

I think the take home message for me is I will give up caring about the order or progression. Patterns generally are something I am focused on and typically gravitate towards observing. But, in this case it appears that I should simply stop looking for patterns and so I will.

As far as the Tara & Les interaction…. to me, I am personally uninterested in the dynamic that they may forge.

It would be interesting to see Tara meet Toni. I think they would get along and we would see some witty remarks exchanged.

Calling it now! Les’ mom isn’t doing a lingerie party but hosting a gambling night. They find out and have to stop it before the police find out.

Lots of women wear underwear, but don’t wear lingerie. I think there’s some misunderstanding on Greg’s part.

Luann seems afraid that Les will steal Tara from her.

And suddenly Les has a new woman to obsess over. And once again we are led to believe that whatever is going on is not a real lingerie party. How profitable could it be to have one once a week?

Tomorrow the door is opened by Ann Eiffel -to check on how many more is left on the guest list to arrive. Luann takes one look at her and the ‘stuff’ hits the fan. If this happens – should be a very fun strip next week!!

The New Adventures of Tara and Luann continue, as Lu tries to get Leslie to concentrate on business, while Leslie concentrates instead on Commando Tara, who furthers her goal of having the Entire World (or at least all the town of Pitts) know that she is not wearing underwear….

The lingerie party is guarded like one of those old bootleg bars in the 20’s. Has anyone we know ever attended one of these parties? And, with Ann and Les running this operation, I think we might have a backroom casino.
