I say, let ’em all in! Grant everyone amnesty, citizenship, whatever you want to call it. More citizens = more tax revenue, more diversity, more innovation, a bigger and more motivated workforce, and more new ideas!

This buzzard nests right on those parents. Illegal is illegal. What a waste of an otherwise good comic strip.

Both sets of my grandparents did this as single young adults in the early 1900’s. They did it legally which is a big difference from what the comic portrays. However, in fairness, the immigration laws were also different (ie, more lenient), especially for one side of the family that came from England via Canada after fighting in WW-1. (The Greek and the Hungarian on the other side didn’t have it quite so easy.) Letting everyone in across an uncontrolled border is as stupid as the argument that we let no one in. Unfortunately those extremes seem to what our political parties espouse these days.

Technically we’re all illegal aliens, if you don’t agree ask any Navajo or Cherokee.

Romanticizing people sneaking across the border is flat wrong. This is a serious problem this country is facing and propaganda like this doesn’t help anybody. You don’t like your own country? Then FIX it! You aren’t wanted here!

I admire Cruz’s parents for going it on their own and not succumbing to blood sucking coyotes !

it is telling, in a bad way, just how far the United States has fallen when I posted a comment so egregious, so completely over the top that it is taken as my true viewpoint. cheeto has shined a spotlight on and opened the door to hate being accepted, to denying people basic human rights and conditions and to deny citizenship to those who have lived here nearly all their lives and have been productive citizens but through no fault of their own were not born here but are subject to police state type deportment and treatment. it is not only wrong it is unconscionable.

maybe we should consider sandblasting the inscription at base of Statue of Liberty.“Give me your tired, your poor, Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, The wretched refuse of your teeming shore, Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me, I lift my lamp beside the golden door!”

I guess it is time to extinguish the lamp.

Thank you for bringing this up. It shows that the Dreamers are being unfairly penalized. I really hate that is happening. But sometimes I think they may be the lucky ones. If that wall ever does be built it may be for keeping US IN!
