As happy as everyone is that Elvis is home I can’t help seeing a touch of sadness in Tommy’s face – all the more testament to the wonderful talents of Georgia to convey so much expression in her work :)
Aw, Elvis looks so adorably pathetic in the first panel.
This is such a frustrating Advent Calendar. Waiting until Christmas so I can stop worrying about keeping my mouth shut regarding spoilers! That said, I fully recommend readers check out the original run of this storyline on the breakingcatnews.com website when the arc is over here. There are some wonderful bits from Puck and Lupin that had to get trimmed out to fit in the newspaper format.
Mow mow! Oh! So sweet! Aww Tommy! Breaks my heart he’s outside while Elvis is warm and cozy inside! (I know what’s going to happen, but still, breaks my heart anyway even if I know the outcome.)
This storyline started just after a cat of mine which went missing for almost exactly a week returned as mysteriously as she had vanished. She’d lost weight and was hungry and thirsty and had picked up some fleas, but was otherwise fine. She was glad to be home. :-)
Dear orbster buddies! Haven’t seen kitty prints last two days. Today, however, the raccoons discovered the emergency rations & wiped them out!
Ever notice how coon prints look like little leaf outlines? So pretty in the snow!
Really pray that kitty is home! We were in the single digits last night & wind chill was arctic! So sad that the raccoons were out in it. Today is trash pickup day and they like to prowl in the bins. The flap tops don’t faze ’em a bit!
Take care, dear ones, and keep those kitties cuddling! >^,.^<
Some of you may not have seen it yesterday… I had to take my kitty Database to the vet for breathing problems.
Good news: She is already on the mend. She’s breathing better and we are using a humidifier in my daughter’s room (where Database and my other boy, Reboot, sleep). There’s not a cure or even a real treatment for what she has, but it shouldn’t give her too many problems. If she starts getting worse we can try some aggressive treatments but for now we are letting nature work.
Don’t know about others in the GoComics family, but those of us who follow BCN boys and Georgia’s own family, are so blessed that she would share with us, and that her followers share with others. What a blessing to have such a following and for us.

So good to Elvis back home, in the arms of his beloved Woman. :) Now for Tommy to get his own homecoming.

@Shaunnmunn,
I tried a different tack on that last Tommy avatar I made and am more pleased with this one. Let me know what you think.

Are the People going to wonder about where Elvis got that coat and hat?

PURR, PURR, PURR – I love the sound of a happy cat.

In the comments on the original run, Georgia said that “mow mow” is what the Boy (who was then the Baby) called the cats.
Or to be more specific: “That’s a sound he really makes at the cats, ha! And his reply when asked, “What sound does a kitty make?””

Last panel: Elvis gives a little wave to his new Backyard Friend Forever. I missed that the first five times I read today’s strip!

Such a wonderful story arc. I am definitely looking forward to the rest of the story, and am going to have to go back and read the original.

Perhaps the cat clothes are only what the cat’s think they are wearing, not real, so only we and the cat’s can see them.

I hate spell check. I did not put that extra apostrophe in cats.

This so warmed my heart: Elvis back in the bosom of his family, with a grateful look (most uncharacteristic) at Tommy. Sigh.
