Favorite horse? When I was a kid, we learned that a horse is a horse.

There was still a lot of other stuff going on, so I had plenty of data points to formulate my weirdness scale. My actual reality was something different from the presented reality. When a neighbor was taken away by the police a while later, and the static with Mom cleared up, I developed a working hypothesis based on a hybridization of Spiderman and Dr. Strange. I theorized that it was some sort of a Spidey Sense and it worked in an out-of-body capacity. It was either that or a guest shot in a very special crossover episode, an idea entirely too lame to contemplate.

Not so much of a show horse as a put-in-an-appearance one.

I applaud that one all the time.

I was generally okay with Horace Horsecollar, in an indifferent sort of way. But he was never my favorite. I guess that’s what makes horse races.
