Similar to Leon’s instructions to Deckard in Blade Runner: “Wake up! Time to die.” Tracy could use a hero right about now. Sam? Lizz? Patton? Mysta? The Governor? More of the good stuff from Team Tracy.
FUN FACTOID: When the artist on the “Jungle Jim” Sunday strip passed, he had left Jim in an inescapable “Doom Trap” from which his successors couldn’t devise a plausible exit.
Their solution?
They cut away from Jim’s predicament for a few weeks, till they figured everyone had forgotten the details of the situation.
SAM’S SCHOOL FOR SUPERVILLAINS Bayonne NJ. Lesson 3: The Follow Through: Just as your golf ball will not travel far off the tee if you take your eyes off of it during your swing, so your elaborately staged death trap will not work IF YOU DON’T KEEP YOUR FURSHLUGGINER EYES ON IT UNTIL IT’S DONE!!! We can’t tell you how many times our adversaries – this one in particular – have lived to fight another day simply because one of our graduates wanted to skedaddle before the police arrived, or they were too busy with the other part of their grand plan, or their kid had a birthday party or whatever. There is always some gadget or helpful bystander or comic relief partner at the ready to bail out the intended victim. We cannot stress this strongly enough: If you’re going to go to all the trouble and risk of murder, at least wait around long enough to make sure you get the payoff. Our case study above apparently hasn’t quite learned this, and should take it to heart… if he’s lucky enough to not have his death wish bite him in his own fanny.
I am sure that his wrist watch/radio is also equipped with GPS. And because of when/where he was snatched, the entire force is narrowing in on him, quickly
Be sure to pile up a mound of snow around the unfortunate detective, Sawtooth! Then, it will pretty much be the polar opposite of having him burned at the stake! Of course, freezing to death will take some time; so, are you sure you don’t want to take some more direct action to hasten his demise? Every minute that passes is another chance for someone to rescue him, since YOU LEFT HIS WRIST WIZARD ON! D’oh!
If my father in law’s outside, emptying the trunk, bringing in Christmas presents and he takes more then 3 minutes to get inside, I’m going looking for him. And when I start looking I’m gonna follow the huge trail of the snow plow with the flashy lights, if nothing else but to ask him, “Hey, did you see anything unusual? There’s all kinds of you guys around tonight, ask on your radio, anyone else seen anything?” I’m sorry, I’m not trying to slam the comic, but this really isn’t Sawtooth’s grand plan, is it? Kidnap a guy on Christmas Eve from in front of the family home and leave a trail to where you left him tied up in the snow? With his super-duper cop wrist radio still on him?
I don’t think he’s really going to be buried while standing upright tied to a tree. He’d be more likely to die from hypothermia or something similar.
If the snow is wet it will be heavy and a fast pass with the plow will cause a hard impact when the snow hits Tracy and that could kill him or hurt really good !
It would be awesome if Moon Maid’s father is the person who saves Tracy. Perhaps he has been following him for a chance to get answers to his questions. Just a thought!

Well, there you have a kind of villain explanation to the victim, but it’s short and sweet (well, maybe not so sweet).

Note they left Tracy’s heavy coat on him. That will buy him considerably more precious time.

At last: a decent, old time story line look close to 1940’s-50’s?
