My cats take care of my mice ( usually ) The few that don’t get caught by them, and I catch, get one last chance after being taken outside. I can hack the occasional mouse. What I don’t like , and there are lots of where I live, are snakes. I know they’re outside and that’s fine. As long as THEY don’t get inside the house.
That mouse can complain all he wants. Ziggy can’t hear you. He does not have ears and even if he did he would not pay attention to you. He has standards you know!
Only problem with glue traps is if the rodent only gets his/her front two feet on it. My mom had one that scooted that trap all over her living room.
I’ve found a disposable trap that I really like. They’ve got some teeth that impale the mouse and keeps it from slipping back out, since it instantly kills it.
I once saw a mouse stuck in a glue trap, still alive, discarded in a trash can. The poor thing was so pitiful, stuck and stuggling.. . It was really sad. I wondered what would eventually kill it; the trash truck, suffocation or starvation. It seemed terribly inhumane. Poison is also a slow and agonizing death for them, not to mention that…. IT’S POISON!
When faced with NO CHOICE but to ‘take out’ a mouse, nothing is more effective or humane than a good old fashion mouse trap. (I do, however, recommend peanut butter instead of cheese). They need to work at getting a mouthful. . and THWACK! … old style traps are also cheap and can be used again and again.

I have mice, too. Fodder for the resident wild raptors. Maybe Ziggy could use one.

Get a chicken. They kill mice, rats, and snakes.

Bdaysuit, you can’t break a chicken any more than you can break a politician…they’re bird brains.

Don’t complain about the lodgings when you’re not paying rent.

“Glue traps” work well too, caught 13 in one night.
