Can you imagine a Transmogrifier in the workplace?

This has always been one of my favorite C&H Sunday strips, even as a kid. It almost reminds me of the wizards’ duel scene in The Sword in the Stone. Can you imagine it animated?

Look on the bright side guys, you both can still scare people.

This is the one-and-only time that Calvin’s the wise one.

I’m surprised that Hobbes didn’t transmogrify Calvin into a girl.

At times a really good laugh can transmogrify a case of winter blues into a very good day.

Hobbes should have been nicer to Calvin. After all pterodactyls were a variety of dinosaur, and dinosaurs were the ancestors of modern birds, so Hobbes is basically fighting with his ancestor.

Last panel, being on right-hand side is either a gob-gremlin or a pretty grim goblin.

Thankfully Hobbes didn’t turn Calvin into tuna

And why don’t one of them hold onto the gun?

Mom got her meds mixed up and won’t notice that anything is out of the ordinary

Spoilers: The Transmogrifier only has [######] [#####] for [###] [####] [###].

I believe this whole thing ends with “Zippidy Do Dah”

All right: where is the tiger? The battle of wits has begun. It ends when you decide and we both zap, and find out who is living, and who is a stuffed toy.

Reminds me of the Sword and the Stone with the Wizard battle. Great fun.

Hobbes is today a real gentleman, he lets Calvin be the more beautiful one!Bravo, Hobbes!!

What happens when they run out of Ammo?

Calvin’s wrong about pterodactyls being big. He might be thinking of another pterosaur, like pteranodon or quetzalcoatlus.

He looks the owl from Winnie the Pooh.

Hobbes’ “An insult! This is worse than before!” is just such a perfect panel. The dialogue, and his pose, is magnificent.

Not gonna lie, when hobbes made calvin a pig, he basically made him back to himself, because calvin is a pig when he eats, he’s really funny though
