Probably not since this is Bribery’s woods… But, in Tracyland, anything can happen…

Barring that, being lost without a phone during a storm doesn’t bode well…

Mr B. has a BIG private land so maybe Rifle Ruby doesn’t cover that land. And Ugly lost her cell phone…

Could this be our cold weather fatality ?

Ironic if she died the way Tracy was supposed to….she won’t, they won’t kill a kid…. but woulda been ironic.

Looks like Gocomics is going to make it impossible to comment more than a line or two. First at “Annie” now at “Alley Oop”. Most disappointed.

Crystal will need help or she will die from hypothermia.

I recall in the sixties Moon Maid saved a woman and her baby buried in a blizzard with her superduper body heat. Will this be a redux by Honeymoon?

Take note of the position of her right leg in the last panel. I foresee a possible broken or severely sprained leg/ankle.

I guess JELFRING loves the story and the art.

I just saw Adam Schiff on the news. With his long neck, bug eyes, slim build and grinning smile, if you slapped a pair of round glasses on him he might be a good prospect to play Bribery in a Dick Tracy movie.

I don’t mean this to be a partisan comment or an approval/criticism of his politics one way or another. I’m only commenting on what I perceive to be his physical resemblance to Bribery.

It didn’t occur to her to change from a short skirt and fishnets before going out into the storm, it seems. (Or didn’t have enough time.)

This right here is why Dick Tracy is THE BEST. Characters that you can care about, even the villains. A fast paced, well written, interesting story. And that cell phone, that’s SUPER attention to detail. The authors treat the audience with respect and give us some credit for intelligence, thank you!

Having Crystal die would be tragic but tragedy was a hallmark of the original series.

Another plot thread of a character in danger from freezing in the elements just days after we saw it happen to Tracy? Joe & Mike are on a good creative steak right now ,b ut this repeating themselves so soon is not a good sign.

A reckless tweenager rushes out into the snowy woods. She seeks a warm hiding place (why must she hide?). But as she scurries along, she slips; falls down a slope; twists her (right) ankle; loses her cellphone. Oh, woe is Crystal!

What rescue could she expect? Rescue by the revived Lunarians (Mysta and Moon Governor)? Rescue by Rifle Ruby (though she’s probably tired of rescuing ill-dressed City Folk stuck in the woods)? Or maybe Honeymoon will show up to find her new friend? Or, just our titular hero, Dick Tracy, and his partner/sidekick, Sam Catchem?

I haven’t gotten attached to UC yet. Going back to when she was being picked up at finishing school, she’s always appeared tilted to Bribery’s side to me. Being able to spot a wrist wizard and using the word “cops” and calling T-Bolt fake lessens my sympathy a bit. She does have the snap to recognize a stark raving mad lunatic completely off the rails, though. Gotta give her that much.
