I’m with Sharaton on this one. Oh, har-dee-har-har.

Okay some observations:

1) I like Ann’s “Elvira” Look, today. She’ll wow the staff when she arrives at the ER.

2) Looks like Tiffany’s about to bite Ann’s hand OFF in panel #2.

3) Ann’s wisecrack in Panel #2 may be the incentive for Tiff to lose weight after She’s done mopping the floor up with Ann.

4) I love Tiffany’s “look” in panel #3. It’s a “look” that says: "The Hell with My “plan!” I’m gonna punch this witch right in her face!"

Keep digging, Ann. It just makes the hole you’re going to end up in that much deeper.

Ah first blow thrown. Is it Mike Tyson first round knock-out? I think not. Will this be a title fight between two “heavyweights” (not referring to Tiffany’s weight gain, she seems not to be upset about it) going with upper cuts, body blows, right crosses, jabs, with knockout? A TKO? A draw? Should be a good fight.

I guess it is fair to say that Ann Eiffel has not only forgotten that she has met Tiffany before, but Tiffany’s father does not keep pictures of his daughter around anywhere where Ann can see them.

Okay, Tiff, time to go to work…

Boy, Anne is asking for it! Sheraton’s face in the third square is priceless! She’s about ready to slap the baby blubber out of Anne.

And any fleeting remorse Tiff might have about utterly destroying Ann vanishes into the night…

Wow – Greg sure knows how to draw Ann as hot stuff. But this was weird. Ann is presumably trying to sell her product to people – what’s with the insults? Tiff could drop a bomb on Ann like, “You know, you’re #***ing my father…” BTW, I heard Ann’s joke in the 1950s.

Regardless of what size she wears Tiffany is still a hottie.

Sheraton has that “don’t you touch me!” Look on panel #2. Use your brains Tiff, not your anger.

Tiffany has just doubled down on her resolve to destroy Ann Eiffel… only this time, her motivation is personal….

There are only two reasons for Ann Eiffel picking on and embarrassing a potential new customer like that. One, she innately recognizes Tiffany as a potential rival. (And guys? It happens among women.) Or, two, someone tipped her off that Tiffany Ferrell, AKA Sheraton St. Louis, would be there and would to expose her scam. And, as much as it pains me to say this, that “someone” would most likely be Les.

Let me guess, we get a Saturday cliffhanger, followed by a different arc on Monday.

Tiff seems to be breaking the fourth wall in the final panel: “Is anyone else getting this?”

With apologies to Walt Kelly, and to paraphrase Pogo Possum, “We have met the enemy, and she is me”. Those two are two sides of the same coin.

Looks like Greg and Karen put a lot of thought into this storyline, and they’ll keep it going for at least another week, maybe two or three. But now that it’s finally underway, it does look like it will be worth the wait. Tiffany is preparing to get her claws out too.

Tiff saying to herself who does this women think she is it about time to take her down a couple of notches.

I think Les told his mom what Tiffany had in mind. Don’t get me wrong I’m in Tiffs corner all the way but the arc has to much development to end in a car crash. This will be more like a train wreck.

I suspect that Ann’s been tipped off and knows that’s Tiffany. No way she’ d be that rude to a real prospective customer. Now when Tiffany exposes her, Ann can just say, “Oh, stop lying, you’re just sore that I teased you.”

First of all, Ann should know better! Why would you insult a potentially paying customer like that? What kind of business savvy is that? This tells me that this isn’t about business but about fleecing innocent victims.

Tiff, play it cool. Don’t get “physical” with Ann… Just stick with the plan and use that rage to make it work even better. The cold revenge you serve will pay off in spades. And you can take care of the weight issue if you choose to, later.

What a mean thing to say, while calling her “hon.” Why are there so many mean people? Or so many people who are mean? I was thinking this yesterday when watching the latest monster being arraigned for shooting multiple people. Of course that’s on a different plane entirely, but still — why so much meanness? Where does cruelty come from?

Also shame on the other two ladies, even if it were someone I didn’t know, it is NOT ok to speak to someone like that. I would’ve spoken up to her, as others have stated, you’re there to sell stuff- how about not being so rude!

Ann looks like she’s put on a few pounds, too … but in all the right places.

Today’s strip gives every indication that Ann is on to Tiff. Her attack it threefold: One, reminding Tiff of her relationship with Tiff’s father. Two, demeaning her for her weight gain. And the third is a warning that Tiff’s a neophyte in the world of cat fights.Unless team Greg, has a brilliant ending in mind, I see no way that this is going to turn out the way we hoped.

… and that is when, your honor, I shot her in the head sixteen times…

You’re a real riot, Ann! And – unfortunately – you won’t quit your day job, either!

I just hope Tiffany doesn’t get upset at Ann’s mean comments and blow the whole thing!

I apogize if this was already mentioned, but Karen hinted on the Luann FB page yesterday that “Lori” and “Rhonda” are indeed two real life people…..and one is a relative.

Hmm. I think the weight-shaming comments towards “Sheridan” (sp?) are definitely out-of-line. I am annoyed at Ann for stating what she did to “Sheridan”. At first glance, I was also annoyed at the two (Rhonda and Lori) for laughing…. because at first glance it seemed they were laughing at Sheridan (because their laughter came “ahead” of Ann’s husband joke). But, an alternative interpretation is that they are laughing about Ann’s husband joke…. although I think that would have been clearer (at least to me) if Ann’s word bubble had spanned all the way over to the left hand side of the frame….. my initial interpretation was (due to the left-hand space and no right hand space for the word bubble) that Ann said her joke AFTER Rhonda and Lori started laughing at “Sheridan”. But, I tend to think now that Greg meant to have the laughter occur after the husband joke.

With that said, what do I think is afoot?

1) Ann pointing out weight issues to a prospective customer is an obviously foolish and stupid thing to do in terms of her prospective sales.

2) Ann is NOT stupid.

3) Therefore, I think Ann recognizes “Sheridan”/Tiffany…. and beginning a “cat-and-mouse” game with her…. she is (I think) goading “Sheridan”/Tiffany into unraveling.

Not the best & brightest – those two girls laughing…

Oh, dear… At first, Sheraton was simply going to ruin Ann. Now, Sheraton plans to kill her, too…

Pipe-like comments: 1) “lose ten pounds of ugly fat – cut off your head” is the usual stale joke. 2) 150 pounds is pretty slim for Ann to refer to her ex as ugly fat. 3) Evanses are back to exposing “fat shaming” as cruel, which is a good thing. I wonder if this has been an issue for either one of them. 4) It is not necessary to convince us that Eiffel is a vicious human being.

So, tomorrow does Ann question Tiffany more, or does the selling/buying start?

Rhonda & Lori paied for a fun evening out. Ann is delivering. Tiffany paid for a fight. Ann is delivering. Always give the customers what they want. Well done Ann. From a marketing perspective, any company has a right to target there demographics – ie neither Suffle lingerie or Ann is or should be required to offer a “curvy” line. In fact many companies don’t cater to plus sizes for a variety of reasons, mostly financial. Yes Ann’s being mean. But she’s also in the game to sell, not to be nice to a girl who has come in with a chip on her shoulder (Tiff). This isn’t Starbucks. Rhonda and Lori also have NO obligation to defend either Tiff or Ann against fat bullying – they have absolutely no dog in this fight.

Look at Tiffany’s eyes in each panel. That look in the last panel, "Game On!’…Go get ’em Tiff.

wow, I didn’t see this one coming. But it just confirms how Ann Eiffel is so lacking integrity and she’s inconsiderate on top of it all. I don’t like the fact that Rhonda and Lori are laughing. Because now Tiffany feels isolated. But hopefully she will become emboldened and she sharpen her plan accordingly. I wonder if Ann made fun of Dez when she was there. Probably not.

Ann is dressed for success…but our poor Tiff looks like a fugitive from Walmart. Ann knows how to display a killer body….Tiff looks frumpy. But, even a con artist knows better than to insult her mark, so I have to believe that Ann knows what’s going on. She will continue to play “rope-a-dope” with the fetching Sheridan, unless Rhonda and friend really are undercover vice cops, or someone else comes to her rescue. Toni, Gunther, Piro, Les, or daddy?

A minor aside… the husband in the Spanish version of “Luann” weighs 4.3 pounds more than in the English version. What might that signify philosophically?!?! :)
