I don’t know whether to laugh at Pig or cry for him. I’ll do both.

I tire of these situations, which leave me deflated. Call Pig an Airhead, who wheely (Elmer Fuddism) needs to hit the road with (a) Jack. I also have a truck with Pig, who should not be spared the Wheel. Or is it the Rack? At least Pig was not told he should wear a Hood. Or bring a Trunk. This joke has been re-Cycled too often. And finally, could Pig use the tire as a hula hoop?

But Pig, feeling out of place should be your default mode, so when you feel that way is when you should feel most at home. (deep, huh?)

Did Rat tell him “Black tie” or deliberately mislead him with “Black tire”? Pig tends to be quite literal minded, though he also has listening comprehension problems, but Rat also likes to do such things.

Sadly, the joke went kinda flat – Mr. Pastis should have tread more carefully.
