I, too, would’ve liked those crêpes with ham, cheese (provolone or Swiss), and berries (I’ll go for blueberry and açaí) to which Frank was “referring.”
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. The only foolish thing would be to try to deny the Truth.
I think Luann’s real activity on Easter should be to substitute instead of an Easter Egg hunt, a Prudence hunt since she seems to have completely disappeared from the comic strip.
Happy Easter, and a nice family Sunday foible strip today, mixing April Fool’s and Easter. Wonder what panel he would have done had he chosen Brad and Toni, or could it be appropriate for a family strip. To bad we have to stay culturally appropriate for comic strips.
It’s a different calendar date, of course, but it reminds me of my birthday. I was born on a Sunday, one that would actually become Earth Day – but it was also an Easter Sunday – one of the coolest combos of days EVER! Happy Easter, everyone! :)
@AIRMAN: Since I’m not a long time reader of this ‘toon, I look at the Luann.fan site for info. Reading the ’Meet the Gang’ section for more details about the DeGroots, I noticed that they were described as involved with a ‘mid-life’ project when they decided to invest the The Fuse. Now, I could be misunderstanding what the Evanses mean by ‘mid-life’, but, to me, that means Nancy is probably no longer able to get pregnant…

At least Nancy had the decency not to look horrified when Frank said, “While your mother and I have some private time.”

“Private Time” = Marvin Gaye, Riunite on ice, and massage oils. Frank getting his grove on.

Well Nancy didn’t find it funny. And Frank’s the fool!

Ham and cheese crepes with berries?
Ick, that meal would be an April Fool’s joke all on its own!

You’re sure you want to fool your family on a holy day, Frank?
Joe1962 over 6 years ago
I think the April fools joke backfired on Frank because Nancy not laughing.

Frank, could you make that Crepe Suzette? Or skip the ham and cheese and just have lots of berries? Crepes are not a joking matter.
Tyge over 6 years ago
“Crepes” is parent code for “private time”. Just so you know.

That’s a cute little “Nightie” type thing Luann is wearing. Is that part of the unreturned Ann Eiffel contraband?
dlkrueger33 over 6 years ago
Stores are closed on Easter. That’s when Luann knew it was a joke.
dlkrueger33 over 6 years ago
In the first panel, Luann looks like she has “man hands”.

Still and all, it’s nice to see Frank and Nancy, even if it is only on Sunday. I’ll take some of those crepes too, please.

Soo… no private time either?

Oh, so Frank gets away with it, but over on FoxTrot, Roger gets the evil eye for pretty much the same thing?

Nancy counters with: Don’t look so smug, Frank, your private time just got us pregnant.

Hey, girl, between the crepes and the private time, something had to go. We can make crepes some other time…

At least Frank amuses himself with his joke. I think, from Nancy’s response, that he’s going to have to amuse himself in the afternoon, too….
