I wonder if it’s legal to have a DC character, Simon Stagg, in a Dick Tracy comic. We’ve seen crossovers in the past, including Oliver Warbucks, the Asp, Punjab, Orphan Annie, and Hank the editor at Brenda Starr’s Flash, but they’re published by King Features Syndicate, same as Tracy. I’ve been unable to find any legal connection with DC, other than that DC once published a limited edition of Dick Tracy comics.

To leave the lake for murder’s sake is just the Tracy way
Serve and protect. Deduce. Detect. Another Gumshoe day.
Look to see on ice cold gurney Stagg’s corpse so pale and still
The aftermath of Fugu fish. A feast before a kill.
Marty knows what violence sows. He sees the aftermath
Bodies maimed and torn apart when in the gun-spray’s path.
Poison is a tricky case. Accidental or intention?
With Sam and Tracy on the case there’s bound to be prevention
Of repeated homicide. These Detectives know their stuff
Calm, cool, and collected, yet we know they can play rough.
Ghost Pepper draws suspicion, even though he’s served his time
Coincidence convenient, Simon’s death could be a crime.
The boys they have some questions, although Ghost would like to fade
Pierre the Chef could take the fall and wind up in the shade.

Ghost is rattled and quite annoyed
Tracy should know he can’t be toyed
Time is wasting there’s much to do
Prepare to serve some Wabbit stew
Pierre’s the one to get it done
The preparation’s half the fun
He not only cooks he does tricks day and night
Like the spoon that will move from his left to his right
Faster than a jet or even a deer
Or the sadness to learn that our Gweedo’s not here
We’ll know soon enough if the meal is the last
If the powers that be send him off with a blast

Good morning™, future banquetters at the Winrock!
Ghost is doing a poor job of acting innocent, if you ask me.

Regarding Gweedo, he has been trying to post here and on other GoComics boards. Here’s his most recent attempt to post here:

Someone suggested going to Susan Sunshine for an address to Go Comics admin. Anyone know where Susan Sunshine hangs out? (As in, which comics?)

It’s a safe deposit box because it’s locked in a safe, not a safety deposit box.

I lament Gweedo’s absence with this tossed off verse
Could not do any harm or make matters much worse.
With the best of intentions now take up the pen
To scribble a rhyme swearing Gweedo must win.
A serrano pepper in his honor devoured
Walked the plank boldly, neither whiner nor coward.
Unlike the foul trolls who deserve what they get
Gweedo’s a mensch who brings smiles with wit.

Brilliant move throwing Dicko out. I;m sure that would raise suspicion

Pierre “blank stare” is a chef who keeps his nose in the dishes, in the kitchen.
Ghost Pepper is a fish of a different color, and smell. He wants no surprises at the classy Winrock banquet?
Well, okay! Surprise is guaranteed! I GAH-ron-tee you!
