I don’t see the problem with “I’m going to spend some time with my girlfriends.”

Unfortunately, my husband just wouldn’t get home in time for me to count on him to stay with the kids. Now he loves having the house to himself. He’s still not good with time though.

That is a bunch you don’t want to play with. Mom now holds the mortgages on most of the homes.

Love the reversal of the gender stereotype.

Hubby is one in a million. He will surf the cooking sites to find a recipe, go to the store and buy the ingredients, and then come home and fix dinner as a surprise for me. I’ve suggested he give lessons in husbandry.

Married for 43+ years now. Whenever wife wants to go visit with friends she just calls to let me know she arrived safely, then calls again when on her way home. Because she knows that I worry as she has had several accidents over the years.

then again, since her last accident, she refuses to drive anywhere, so I take her where ever she wants to go and she calls me to come and get her whenever she is ready.
