Well, of course you remember thus-and-such, you idiot; if you didn’t, you wouldn’t be able to talk about it!
That one can be salvaged by adding an adverb or adverbial phrase about how vividly or “in particular” the speaker remembers whatever-it-is — it’s a memory that stands out among the others — or something along the lines of “I remember, even though I desperately want to forget…”

He is right. She is wrong. “Not to mention,” is an allusion to her statement, pointing out that she had not acknowledged an equally concerning point.
