was the receipt printer a bit malfunctioning?

Everytime I pick up my prescription, I get a pamphlet with side effects and other info- with my name (and other personal data) on it. I hand it right back and ask THEY shred it! I don’t need that!

So they gave Earl the short form.

Funny one because it’s right on. I always tell them that I want to be their paper salesman!

Between the receipts and plastic bags,no wonder the dumps are full. Our stores do have bins for plastic so some people do use it. I’ll have to start leaving the extra tape for them to toss. it’s like the mail,over half goes into the recycle bin.

I don’t really mind the info on side effects, etc. on the first prescription. I get annoyed when they give me the same printout every single time I get a refill. I did ask the pharmacist not to keep giving them to me, and he stopped.

It’s what you paid for, then the coupons, then the invitation to take a online survey, then the bar code in case you need to return the item…

I don’t mind the info on side efects either. It’s the multi feet long long register receipt that is ridicules! My comment it that the Arizona Desert used to be a beautiful forest before they had cut it all down to make the paper CVS wastes on receipts. Last time in I first got +3 feet for the newspaper I bought, then +4 feet for my monthly perscription, then +3 feet for a greeting card I originally forgot to get when I bought the news paper. They could do it like Home Depot and offer an emailed receipt option. Maybe now that it’s the funny papers they’ll realize what a joke they are. Yes, I know a news paper and greeting card are paper too!

I used to get a 4 page report with every prescription at one pharmacy I once used.

CVS: Condoms, Valium, and Suppositories.

This is true. Harris Teeter (southeast grocery chain) is worse. Publix is pretty good about keeping it short.

I have had that experience. However, the receipt was only 4 ft long.

Fact: the distance from the Earth to the Sun is exactly 7 1/2 CVS receipts.

Trees are planted like any other crop to make the material for paper. They just take a wee bit longer than many other crops.

CVS charges the most so they can afford to give a long receipts with coupons of stuff you won’t be buying.

Obviously, CVS ( and Walreeens and WalMart) haven’t changed much, since I last lived in the States, 5 years ago.

I hated those mile long receipts !

Our pharmacy, a Rexall, is now asking if we want a receipt. A small step but a good one.

CVS is famous for long receipts, lol! But they have really good deals.
