Interesting… A grumpy Toddler and Pengo… and subtly downplaying Elvis’ famous line “I’m going to need to see some ID!” Nicely done… where will this lead? =)
YAY! Tommy is back! Good literary reference there. Takes me back to all those years I taught 10th grade English.
Will the baby truly transform Elvis? The man had better be on his best behavior. Here’s hoping Puck and Pengo can provide a little comfort to the confused toddler.
Oh, poor Toddler. It isn’t easy adjusting to a new member of the family (though my parents tell me I didn’t care at all when my brother arrived, I suspect there may be selective memory involved).
This may be a good place for a flashback to the arrival of kitten Puck or kitten Lupin. I’ve long wondered how the new felines were welcomed by the felines in residence.
What a perfect addition to this story line. Every child struggles with a new baby! The toddler’s eyes show his emotions perfectly: will he ever be loved again?!
Hope Baby Girl grows to appreciate Big Brother as much as I do my big Sis! Hope she doesn’t give him the grief I gave her. Thank Cat she looked past the past! LMBS (if you’re reading this, Sis!)
Boops, bumps & lots of love to the orbs of Gloria Fleming, Rags, NoreenKlose, Lady Bri, Lady Kat, SheMc, Ruth Brown, aMaizing, KOKO, Font Lady, WitcheeMinx, Sue Ellen, and others whose names might have slipped my mind (but never the Creator’s!).
ALL the Mega Orb! Our Illustrious Leader & her personal orb, and every creature living & breathing! Blessings!
Happy Friday/TGIF, orbsters and orbabies. I may or may not be here this weekend, as we are going down to in-laws’ after Paul’s radiation so we can bask in central air conditioning for the long weekend. I don’t know if I will be able to comment. This visit will be a good thing as Paul does not do well in extremely hot weather. The in-laws have a floor model air conditioner for us that we will be bringing home on Monday so we can keep the apartment cooler. Blessed be, everyone.
The Man is lucky Elvis only wants an ID he may decide he wants bloodwork and he’ll draw blood himself. Elvis is special that way. I mean bloodwork will prove DNA.
I have a confession. I am not the innocent cat lover I pretend to be. I confess…….I play Cookie Cats on my kindle. I promise i never soend any money or buy any help. But I cant pass level 141. How do you kill ( I mean imprison) the rodents? In the past i have won by doggedly (sorry) repeating the game. But now I am truly stuck. Whats the trick to imprisoning the rodents?
And…. yes! My favorite Elvis line! I think it cracked me up more in the original version, but this adds a lot of nice confusion to what would be a confusing time in any family.
Not really on topic, but Charge-TV shows two episodes of “The Avengers” each weekday, with the second episode repeating the next day. Today’s second episode is “The Hidden Tiger” (Steed Hunts a Big Cat; Emma Is Badly Scratched), so it will be the first episode Monday.
The Toddler is upset because very young children DON’T LIKE CHANGE. Every day new things come at them and things that don’t change feel more comfortable to them. That is why they want you to read them stories that they already know.

Second panel is my absolute, all-time favorite! And now, the third panel is now my second all-time favorite!
I just hope, with new strips added, the cats don’t get a return visit from Ms. “The Cats will Steal Your Baby’s Breath.”

“Elvis has gone full-tilt “Silas Marner” is a classic line. Kudos, Georgia- love it!

I am most impressed that Lupin has apparently read “Silas Marner”! The Boys will never cease to amaze me!

The Toddler was already looking unhappy on 26 June when The Baby came home.

Hi, Tommy! :D
Alas, poor Toddler. He’s like a less grumpy version of Elvis the first time a Baby was brought home. Don’t worry, Puck loves you!

I am loving all the action in this panel. I feel sorry for the poor toddler, wondering if he will ever get any attention again.

For a moment there I confused Silas Marner with the Ancient Mariner. I wondered what Elvis had to do with albatrosses.

We never got a lot of interaction between the Baby and the Toddler in the webcomic. This should be interesting.

I think we were seeing the Elvis edit in the original. The Burt edit provides more context.

OK, I used to know who and what Silas Marner was, but I had to go “wiki” it to remember. Now I get it!
